1a comes to a close...

I find it hard to comment on 1a in and 'I thought...' kind of sense because you need the rest of the field from 1b to get a good feel for how things could turn out. It's like a half finished sentance...

But what I can tell you is what happened: As I was saying previously, I have no idea who is playing and most of the players and I hardly even know. But I am glad to say that the one player that I am watching out for, Xuan Liu, is still in after a bit fo a rough time, but it looks like she can handle it. She managed to seven bet shove all in with a pretty pair of Queens only to become the call girl of not only a pair of Kings but a horrifying pair of Aces...now, how's that for bad luck? However didn't I just say that she's still in? Well it may have seemed like she fell out of the window but she managed climb right back up the ladder and left today with 53,500. This may be closer to the bottom than the top, but this is day 1a remember.

Our top of the table guy is Benjamin Richardson; and Australian player with 3 cash finishes from the Aussie Millions side events over 2011 and 2012 (hoping I'm researching the right person), maybe he will be our new player to watch, though he does have Manami Hayamizu sneakind right up from behind him by just short fo 6k but who can tell what will happen tomorrow when we meet some other players?

Hello South Korea!

Today marks Soutn Korea's capital opening up it's doors for the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. This tournament will really test my knowledge as I'm not too up to date on the Asian poker scene but I do know one of my favourites will be there; the one and only Xuan Liu who has many cashes including two 1st place finishes, one being the €1000 no limit hold'em event in San Remo.
